Pours super thick. The aroma is just thick, rich stout...the umami and dark sugars are intense. I mean this gives off sirop de Liege vibes, which is fucking awesome. Yeah, this is all about that heroic boil and rich barrel. But excellent.

Poured from 355mL bottle (bottled 12/2023). Thick near black with no head (not as thick as Dolk - probably a good thing). Woody bourbon bomb. Preferred the aroma of Dolk, but this has a more drinkable texture (Dolk stuck in my throat, this is thick, but goes down smooth). Super boozy. Ended up with the same overall rating.

Dark brown, no head. Quite inky. Almost meaty aroma. On the palate, it's got a rich umami character, a bit soy sauce but good soy sauce. Medium body for the style. Some dark sugars, a touch of alcohol and a lot of quality bourbon. Good stuff.

12oz (thx, Terry M.!) @ Ryan's.
Aroma: a lot of American oak, some roasted barrel, a bit inky and earthy.
Taste: quite thick, a loooot wood and toasted barrel.
Overall: pretty much one-dimensional; good beer, but not the best from them.

Poured from 355mL bottle (maroon wax with feathers - bottled 11/2023). Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Lots of nice barrel on the nose. Taste is old woodiness, touch of soy sauce, a bit boozy, decent.

Very dark brown almost black with a two-finger tan head. Aroma is dark roasted grains, with hints of chocolate, and vanilla. Taste is also dark roasted grains and dark chocolate.

Pours like olive oil! 😲 I even stopped pouring being surprised.
Aroma: sweet, a lot of barrel, bold.
Taste: wood and whiskey bomb, very thick and oily.
Overall: one of thickiest beers I've ever had. This is definitely The Experience drinking this.

Poured from 355mL bottle (bottled 11/2024). Near black with no head, thick and oily viscosity. Huge old smokey woody bourbon barrel, ridiculously thick, molasses, that is bloody intense. It's almost... too much?
