Nice rich brown coloured body with a thin lighter brown/tan head. Aroma of what else - nuts, with roasted malt, caramel and a bit of brown sugar. Medium-bodied; Strong roasty flavours throughout with nuts, nuts and more nuts in the flavour, coupled with alcohol and some caramel. Aftertaste shows some good bitter tastes, but just too much nuttiness and not enough hops or sweetness as a balance. Overall, decent, but I prefer other beers in this style and definitely other beers from the brewpub. I sampled this on draught in June 2010.

Slightly hazy golden coloured with a very thin white head. Aroma of strong alcohol, light spices, some citrus and a touch of yeast. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong assertive malt and coriander seed with a bunch of alcohol and drying hops. Overall, a good beer - strong, but still showing good complexity throughout. I sampled this beer on draught in June 2010 at the brewpub.

Murky brown coloured body with a large dense tan head. Aroma of bread, yeast, coriander seed, curacao, bananas and a ton of cloves. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong as hell with a lot of malt and spices in the mix and a good pleasant sweetness to finish off the beer. Aftertaste shows well with a bit of fruit, but a lot of alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice beer and again, worth trying if this is available when you are at the brewpub! I sampled this beer on draught at the brewpub.

Golden coloured body with a bit of opacity and a thin white head. Aroma of malt, a touch of hops and some minor citrus characteristics. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence and some strong malt up front in the taste with a dry citrus note and some very small sweet tastes. Aftertaste strong, but slightly bitter - nice. Overall, a good beer, definitely worth having if you are at the brewpub! I sampled this beer on draught in April 2010 at the brewpub.

Copper coloured body with a light amber glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of nuts, caramel and some minor spices. Medium-bodied; Assertive malt in the flavour with some lighter german tasting hops and some subtle sweetness and a more pronounced spiciness. Aftertaste shows some spices, but mainly malty tastes that leave the mouth fairly dry. Overall, a good marzen with a touch of spices and some minor sweetness. A nice beer and worth trying if you are in the area when its available. I sampled this beer on draught in October 2009 at the brewpub.

Strong roasty flavours with a coffee twang, some metal and nuts noticeable and a good amount of caramel sweetness. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the malt and a good dose of oatmeal and strong sweetness to balance out the beer. Overall, a good beer and definitely worth trying if you are at the brewpub! I sampled this on draught in June 2010.

Copper/amber coloured body with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, nuts and not much else. Medium to Light-bodied; Mild malty flavours with caramel, nuts, raisins and some pitted fruits in. Aftertaste shows mild characteristics with only some nuts and malt going through - pretty bland indeed. Overall, a decent beer, good as an escape from some of the stronger beers, but that’s about it. I sampled this beer on draught in June 2010.
