Hazy blonde coloured body with orange highlights and a thin white head. Aroma of cloves, bananas, coriander seed and MAJOR yeast! Medium-bodied; Mouthful of banana & bubble gum. Some spices, but very little. Aftertaste sweet and clean-bubble gum lines the palate nicely. Overall, a nice beer-very light for the season, but far off from an exceptional brew. I sampled this pint on draught at the District ChopHouse (where else???) on 23-August-2004 with a Tap Date of 17-August-2004 in Washington, D.C.

Tap Date 15-December-2003:
Pitch black in colour with a soapy light brown head. Aroma of slight oak, roasted malt, honey, vanilla and mustyness. Medium-bodied; Sweet initial flavour then masked by anise tastes all capped by an offensive vegetal aftertaste. Aftertaset is unpleasant and not sweet-just a bad bitter quality (perhaps like melons?) resides on the palate. Way less than expected from this beer and definately not reccomended...unless this was unusually bad. I sampled this on cask at the District Chophouse in Washington, D.C. on 26-December-2003.
