I am not sure exactly what makes a pilsner "Northern" but if it s cidery aroma than they nailed it. Flavor losses the cider notes and has a flat flavored (not carbonation, which could actually be stronger) pilsner flavor, stale white bread with some mineral at the end. Some faint, non-citric lemon as well in there. Not sure how old this bottle is but it was kept in the fridge of the store where I purchased it.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a tan head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, roasted malt, milk, and vanilla, as well as lighter notes of wood. The flavor is sweet malty combined with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and alcohol, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Light overall. Clear gold color. Some corn. Fairly drinkable, but not much here to enjoy. Simple lager, nothing offense and no perceivable flaws.

12oz bottle. Brown-black color, opaque. Fluffy beige head that fades away. The aroma is very chocolaty, with maybe just a touch of heat. Big chocolate tastes up front, with some mild cayenne pepper in the aftertaste. I find this aftertaste to be a little unpleasant, but certainly unique in the beer world. Pretty much a pleasant chocolate stout with a peppery heat that grows as you drink it.

Pours a hazy mahogany color, with a sudsy lace - quite a nutty aroma, with some dough, faint diacetyl, fig, raisin - smooth, creamy, medium-bodied - quite nutty, with notes of brown sugar, a lot of raisin, toffee, caramel - finishes with loads of chocolate and a spicy/peppery character, which is a nice twist - aside from the mild diacetyl in the nose, this is a pretty solid brew - quite underrated - maybe they just have poor quality control.

Thanks to goldtwins for sharing - very carbonated, foamy pour - a tad tart in the nose, with a little dough and cocoa - flavor starts a little tart, too, with notes of cherry, followed by moderate chocolate - the pepper doesn’t show up until the finish, and builds after a while, until you can tastes the vegetal character as well as the spice - these qualities don’t mesh well with the chocolate flavors - interesting, I guess.

12oz shorty bottle. Thick cocoa black-stained-glass red color. Nestle Quick aroma. Big,bold, roasty chocolate taste, while maintaining a smooth mouthfeel. Pretty solid Imperial Stout, albeit a touch watery. Lots of cocoa taste. Good stuff.

12oz bottle. Pours a thick orange-brown color with a minimal white head. The aroma is sweet and earthy, some mild hoppiness in there. The taste is a little off for an IPA, sweet and lemony with a metallic bite, in a lot of ways closer to an APA. There is certainly a hop presence, but it is too jumbled and altogether below par for the style. Pretty weak offering

12oz shorty bottle. Red-brown colored, quite murky. Minimal carbonation and head. The taste is sweet and malty with an interesting sour twang in the finish. I like the idea of the Dunkel-Marzen, but this one is a bit off. I’d love to try it fresh, but the lack of effervescence and pungent fruity amber malt aroma kind of make it hard to enjoy as is. OK.

12oz shorty bottle. Super hazy orange tan color, not much of a head. The ginger is really what separates this one from your run-of-the-mill Wit. Some crispness in the initial mouthfeel which quickly fades into a gingery aftertaste. Works rather well, but should be advertised as a Ginger Beer.
