Tried on tap at the Florida Brew Fest 2011 addition. It pours perfect mahogany with mocha head. The aroma is on the sweet side with malts and caramel malts to along with wafer thin layers of toffee and molasses. It also has a light amount of dark roasted malts in the background. The taste is sweet malts, a little bit of crystal malts and then it rolls into a nice level of roasted malts and molasses to go along with earthy to spicy hops helping take this into the finish where the earthiness picks up a bit of a tobacco sense adding interest and depth to the experience.

Sampler at brewpub pours a golden straw with thin white head. Aroma and taste, wheat, citrus with notes of orange peel and a light bitter citrus finish. Very so, so, not much of a yeasty presence to speak of.

Sampler at brewpub Pours light copperish, thin white head. Aroma and taste, lightly hoppy, with light malts and hints of caramel and some spiced, citrus fruit hops. Nothing spectacular, but was really enjoyable and easy to drink.

Sampler at brewpub. Pours a clear golden, thin white head. Aroma and taste, hoppy with some bittersweetness. For 3.61% the beer wasn’t that bad, it finishes with some light spices and pilsener hops for a light corn like palate and some citrus. Aroma was weak.

On tap at the Florida Brewers Guild BeerFest 2009. Pours hazy deep gold with thin white head. The mild aroma has a little bit of malt sweetness, some earthiness and some citrus. The taste is earthy, tobacco and backed up by a light amount of malt sweetness. About midway I get a pulse of grapefruit hop bitterness and pineapple joining the other notes to create a rather interesting mixture of flavors here. It starts to taste like it may have some guava too. Yes, very interesting.
