RBSG07. From 32 oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a brown head. Aroma is almost spiced with a strange off note I cannot make out (might be the raspberry). Strong notes of liqourice. Flavour is dark, dry and annis. Thick mouthfeel. Finish is dry annis.

A nice beer. The bourbon does not overwhelm the flavor but is certainly there. Low carbonation and on the sweet side. Hops are very light.

Pour is a nice copper color with a huge white head. Aroma is a nice roasted malt wih some breadyness in there. Flavor is about the same but less outstanding. A little doughy and bitter with a slight caramel malts. Still this is a pretty good beer for sipping.

Somehow they made a German hefeweizen. Cloudy gold color and lots of sediment. Banana and citrus in the aroma, and a sweet wheat flavor of a medium quality hefeweizen. Well done.

Aroma is simple malt. Flavor is a little more complex, with sweet malt, chocolate, some coffee, dried or even rotting fruit, just a little red wine. The bourbon is there but is mild, which if a beer must have bourbon, is the way it should be. Black and lightly carbonated. Thick palate, almost like syrup.

Bottle. I had this many times in college, though never rated. A friend had this at a BBQ over the weekend, and I was happy to find out I still love it after many years and new beers. Pour is amber, with a medium white head that goes quite quickly. Aroma is mostly malt and a bit of hop. Taste is a nice belnd of malt backbone and hop flavoring. A nice carbonation makes this very refreshing. Wish I could get it in MO/KS!

This yellow beer has an excellent banana aroma. It seems to be real fruit rather than syrup. Lightly sweet, with an off banana flavor. This beer smells much better than it tastes, but the banana flavor isn’t terrible. Thanks to Skyview for sharing.
