Bottled. A hazy orange beer with a thin orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel, spices, and apricot. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - especially apricot, but also a light spicy note.

Bottle at the HDG, pured into a goblet head. The small head that appears from the bottle very quickly fades into nothingness. Making the orange very clear but not totally lucid beer seem very still. Aroma is very strong of very ripe tropical fruits, sweet bubblegem, and of course banana. All very nice smells but its missing a few thing... no aromas of malt, barley or anything beer related. Taste is all fruit soda/guarana. It came out as a great carbonated fruit extract soda but its barely recognizable as beer. Its very similar to AB’s B to the E but more tropical fruit. I am torn a bit cause I like the fruit flavors but its not beer. But the longer I drink it the more the sweetness because nausating, couldn’t even finish the beer.

Better than I expected from Sprecher. This barleywine is sweet rather than loaded with hops. Lots of malt and fruit in the aroma and flavor, as well as some sugar. Kind of like syrup, I think it is much better than its percentile suggests.

16 ounce bottle from ogglethorp; Bonus from my want list! Nose of faint coffee, yeast, and a little cocoa; opaque ebony with a medium tan head; Flavors (all light) of coffee, chocolate, mild hop bitterness, and caramel emanted from the medium body and the hops lasted into a weakly bitter finish. I agrre it is a great Schwarzbier!

Wax-topped bomber, labeled brewmasters reserve, 8% abv - very dark ruby pour, with thick off-white lace - pretty rich, caramel, cherry, cinnamon aroma - fairly high carbonation, but the mouthfeel is relatively creamy in spite of this - not as sweet as a lot of doppels, which is a nice change - the moderate dryness compliments a cocoa flavor - the caramel malt comes through quite a bit, along with a hint of wintery spices, and a touch of warming alcohol - finishes almost peppery, with some spicy hops to balance out the lingering sweetness and cinnamon flavor - a fairly well-balanced brew, from a fairly underrated brewery.

A deep red beer with a thin rim of brown head. The aroma is of over ripe fruits and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a dry bitter and roasted end. More like a stout than a Doppelbock.
