Flaske fra Vinmonopolet Verksgata, Stavanger, hjemme etter endt brygging: åpning med futt, så jeg heller forsiktig oppi mitt Duvel-glass som raskt blir mer enn halvfullt av et insisterende skum. Skummet varer faktisk til siste slurk. Til å begynne med bruser det såpass i munnen at smaksinntrykkene blir diffuse, men etter hvert som ølet roer seg dukker en rekke fruktige og lekre elementer opp i fin balanse med maltkroppen. Ananas, godt modne jordbær, lys karamell, noe furunål (mest i innledningen), som avrundes med en delikat bitterhet. Den lett beske sødmen fra mango kjenner jeg også, men pasjonsfrukten har nok gjemt seg. Nok et godt øl fra Wettre. Synes godt at de kunne informert om IBU på etiketten. Og er alle frukt/bærtilsetninger puré?

500ml bottle, batch 047, bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Pours a misty amber body under a lasting, creamy, off-white head. Clingy lacing down the glassware. Attractive aromas of pine needles and malty sweetness. Well balanced taste profile of pine and citrus peels added by a chocolate twist. Lingering, drying bitter finish. Soft in the mouth. Well bodied. Among the best Yuletide ales this season (Enjoyed on a Friday eve at home in Tromsø, 13.01.2017).

Nice slightly bubbly-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly hazy. Aroma is slightly dry floral, weeds, yeast, hay, flowers, minerals, old rope, popcorn, old grass, grain, hints of metal tank. Taste is kind of neutral, weeds, metal tank, yeast, sour grass, minerals, paper, flowers. Medium bitterness, harsh metallic mouthfeel. Meh!

Keg at Malmö Taproom, Malmö. Cloudy golden, mid sized head. Rich perfumy grapefruit and elderflower aroma. Dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Dominated by passionfruit and pink grapefruit. Perfumy and citric. Piney bitter finish.

Flaske 500ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Rødbrun. Uklar. Høyt luftig skum som daler sakte. God fruktaroma. På grensen til parfyme. Smaken det samme. Blir lett tørr etter hvert. Grumsete siste kvelling. Grei men 0 julepreg.

Had this one many years ago. Glad I tried again. Solid this time Clear nutty pour and a fine head Pleasant intensity in the aroma Balanced sweetness and bitterness Also a fine carbonation level. Easy to drink Caramel malty, fruity, herbal and some citric notes in the flavor [Can (2022) at Sørjordet Plaza in Drammen, Norway- 2023] Strange stuff. Must have been something strange with this bottle. Impossible to end it. Kitchen sink… Hazy deep golden color with nice off white head. Weird aroma with to much alcohol. Medium + body and an average carbonation level. A bit sweet. Still felt like a weird bitterness destroyed it completely. Very unbalanced. Dried fruity, strange herbal and toffee in the flavor. Lys brun lett tåkete med lavt hvitt skum. Lukter fersken, tørket frukt og noe grapefrukt. Fruktig smak, fersken og grapefrukt. Middels bitterhet og lengde.
