Sample at the Meadery during National Mead Day on 08/02/2014. Crystal clear pale golden color with tiny bubbles around the edges and sticky legs on the glass. Aroma of tart fruit, oak and spice. Full-bodied with flavors of tart paw paws and cherries, rye whiskey and sweet honey. The finish is fruity with an spice and oak aftertaste. All in all I like this more than the other Paw Paw Meads I have tried. Good all around.

Refrigerated 75 cl clear bottle, batch 10-12, with different label than what is shown. Pours clear rich golden with no head, lacing, or carbonation. Aroma is honey, medium body, and syrupy texture. Taste is apples, cinnamon, honey, and some alcohol. If the alcohol was completely covered this would be a home run.
