Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks Ariel. Clear deep reddish amber. Aroma of stale-ish malt, caramel, some toastiness and a bit of fruitiness. Sweetish flavor with malt, a bit stale-ish, with toastiness, a bit of caramel, mild fruitiness and a bitterish finish with light hops. Medium-bodied.

Citrus and resinous hops. Candied sweet malt rounds out the bitterness and extends tot he finish. medium bodied. Not a powerhouse, just a well made IPA.

Pours ruby-tinted copper with a fading head.Nose shows toasty, syrupy malt with some bready notes too. Also a fair whack of pine and resinous hops.Lovely malt flavours too. Quite syrupy, a fair bit of sweetness and bready malt. More pine and grapefruit.Overcarbonated for this kind of malt presence.

Can from Brewcraft at home. Clear very dark amber pour with thin/no head. Really good aroma - spicy but also dank hoppiness, unusual (a bit similar to the SD beers earlier this summer). Taste is similar to aroma but disappointingly weak. Finish is more faithful to the interesting aroma. Dank hops, spiciness. Not bad.

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, KL. It pours ambers with a small white head. The nose is orange sponge cake, stewed citrus, earth, resin and pine needles. The taste is crisp, bitter, orange peel, grapefruit, pine needles, resin, light soap and mild alcohol with a lingering dry-bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Solid IPA.

Big dirrrrty bomber shared at Taps beer bar, KL. It pours cloudy deep red-amber with a small yellow-white head. The nose is earthy, pine needles, citrus peel, sherbet, light caramel and toast. The taste is bitter, pine needles, resin, earth, breadth, orange muffin and light alcohol with a dry, citric finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Punchy and tasty, yet very drinkable.

Can from Brewcraft on the bus. Fruity hops aroma - apple juice and pineapple. Very light bodied - can pick up the NZ hop flavors at the beginning but a bit faint. Then crisp summer beer with not a tremendous amount of flavor. Good for the beach.
