Surprisingly good. Clean and smooth, beautifully balanced coffee. Don’t usually love coffee IPAs.

Bottle. Deep amber-orange color with a low, thick head. Clear. Nutty, herbal, malty nose, pepper comes through as does some citrus. Overall a rather grainy farmhouse character. Malty, with chocolate, bread, cracker notes, citrus, herbal hops, pepper, spicy yeast. quite a bit of tartness. Full, rich body, very chewy and malty but not sweet. Dry, nicely bitter finish with herbal bitterness. Unique and good.

Lovely stuff, nice maltiness, bit of fruity spikiness. Some berries, bit of citrus. Really nice. Got a real DuPont feel to it.

16th March 2020, Shrewsbury monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie. Cheers Mat for hosting and bringing this 330ml bottle: BB 19th May 2020. Large off-white head on a misty amber body, piney nose and taste with a decent malty base for balance, the resinous hops trying to tip the balance at all times though!

330ml bottle @ the beer tasting at the end of the world, Chez Sophie, March '20. Brought by me. Hazed amber appearance, off white head. Big pine, resin, excellent old style West Coast DIPA. Very good and unexpected.

“Cherry boy” is Japanese English for virgin boy. This beer tastes quite mature, though! The black pepper finish is prominent. Vanilla shines

Tap at Lucua. Cloudy amber-red with a fine head. Metallic, bready, light caramel, fruity. Typical nasty brut finish. Can't stand this style.

Tap at Lucua. Cloudy, pastel gold with a fine head. 2018 brew. Nose is apples, wheat biscuits and peaches. Dry and fruity, clean, spicy and estery, peaches, apples, crackers. Crisp, dry, and fruity. The aging time has dried it out nicely.

Real Ale version at lucua. Shiny pitch black, pretty. Resiny nose, licorice, lemon, orange, lightly roasted. Dark chocolate. Great nose. Dark chocolate flavor, umami / soy, light coffee. Resiny and citrus hops. Very nice. Dry and prickly finish. Drier than usual.

Tap at CBM Lucua. Cloudy bright yellow with a fine head. Nose is peaches, esters, wheat, a bit light. Nice peach flavor, very dry and fizzy, wheat, esters. Kind of yucky finish as with all bruts. Nice tingly body though. Seems this is their Momo weizen fermented with brut enzymes. Interesting but I prefer the regular.
