Half pint at TapXTap pours a watery cola brown with some creamy, off white head.Β Nose has malt, toast, marzipan, earthy.Β Flavor has maltier notes, licorice now and then the rest.Β Finishes off dry.Β OK.Β Reads more dunkel or dark lager.Β Needs the hop to be a Cascadian.Β 6 4 6 3 12

Bottle from Yamaoka. Pours an amber-brown color, clear, with a tall, tight head. Nose is mainly C hops, lemony, light mineral, bready malt, apricots. Tastes light a hoppy amber or a strong pale ale. Malty, bready, light caramel, lemony hops. Rather strong bitterness. I can't say that I taste any soy sauce explicitly, maybe just a bit of umami is added. Nice enough.

Tap at Molto. Bright, deep gold, clear, woith a nice head. Bright and hoppy nose, crisp, crackery malt, herbal, noble hops. A bit sweet, malty, crackers, great hops, grape and apple notes. The finish is super dry and bitter and crisp. Love it.
