Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Dark, cola colour. A few lumps in there. Messy, thin, lasting, tan head. Milk chocolate. Black syrup. Some prune. The aroma is on the sweet, chocolatey end of the scale. Taste is light dry. Some grape pip bitterness. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation suits well. Finishes light, roast bitter.

On tap at Molto. Made with wheat+Pilsner malt, Weizen yeast, Nelson Sauvin hops as well as Amanatsu citrus fruit & ginger. An interesting nose of earthy ginger & lemon. The sharp carbonation on a fairly light body was a bit jarring the taste is pithy Amanatsu(similar to grapefruit but less sour & more bitter) with some ginger. Not bad, bitter citrus flavor with invigorating ginger. Quite interesting but I enjoyed last year’s more.

Minoh 18th Anniversary Stout on tap at Tanabata fest in Toyama. Pouring a deep black with a tan head. The nose is roasted oats & chocolate with hints of berries while the taste is coffee, roast notes and berries in the finish. The fruit is incredibly mild so while its a good stout I was expecting more.

Tap at cbm jimbocho terrace. Clear gold color with a nice soapy white head. Very malty and biscuity nose with some light floral notes. Slightly creamy on the palate. Medium body but feels a little to malty. Some fruit esters as it warms up. Not bad. --- Beer merged from original tick of Minoh Pilsner on 01 Jul 2015 at 18:04 - Score: 6

On tap at Watering Hole 3rd year anniversary event. Deep black with a thin brown head that disappears quickly. Huge aromas of baker’s chocolate which turns to brownie fudge as it warms up. Taste is heavily chocolate with a nice roasted coffee finish that shows some medium bitterness. Really smooth and rich almost fudge-like or syrupy mouthfeel. Not much ginger that I could detect (maybe a hint on the finish). Really nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Ginger Coffee Stout on 26 Jun 2015 at 00:11 - Score: 7

light body easy drinking IPA. Simple but well made IPA that would be a good stepping stone beer.
