9% On tap at the Ibaraki Bakuon fest 2013. A copper brown color, a nice citrus hop aroma, very fruity with grape notes, possibly Nelson Sauvignon? More fruity than bitter which is what I enjoy. A really nice IPA with herbal, fruity & floral notes-good stuff.

330 ml bottle from a shop at Omotesando, Tokyo. Pours a bit hazy, minimal carbonisation, very thin head. Hops clearly recognisable in the aroma that is a bit grassy with some hints of bread crumbs - not like Cascade though. It is possible to feel some hop bitterness in the taste, later disappearing and leaving a dry void in its place. Body is rather thin and watery, only a bit of malty toast complementing this somewhat grassy bitterness. Aftertaste long, dry and with some fruity-malty notes. Overall a good and quite drinkable pale ale - only not sure if it’s really English style.

Tap at Beer Stand Molto. Dirty brown color, cloudy. Not pretty. Great hassaku nose, rich tart citrus. Flavor is the same, but a bit over-bearing. Sour and a bit astringent with no real beer character. Tasty enough, but not beer-like.

Draught at Edobori. Obviously a different beer to the one in 2011, so I added it anew. Deep. dark gold with a fine head. A bit cloudy. Yeasty Belgian nose, citrus hops, biscuity malt. Nice, sweet Belgian malt flavor, lemon, orange, good bitter european hops. Very nice. Slightly earthy and funky.

hazy light amber golden color. Big funky Belgian yeast and hoppy nose. Like a Belgian pale ale. Slightly tart, light body, lots of hops. Moderately biter slightly watery mouth. Dry bitter funky yeast finish. Wow. Fantastic Belgian pale ale. Really impressive but body coulda been tighter. Still solid.

A real ale at the Temma Beer Belly. A beautiful dark pour with a wondeful creamy coffee aroma with some chocolate to it. Wow! The flavor is a sweet creamy coffee flavor, surprising but nice. The mouthfeel starts off thick & then thins out a bit. Deliciously unique take on a coffee stout!
