KØLF 021118. Black color with a tan head. Aroma is coffee, chocolate. Flavor is dry, bread, roasted malt, coffee, licorice, chocolate. Nice beer.

Clear nutty color with a fine frothy tan head. Ok lacing. Weird aroma. Not to inviting. Got better when it got warmer. Ok body and a pleasant carbonation level. Easy to drink. Fine balance between sweetness and bitterness. Semi dry ending. Roast, coffee and bready flavor. Decent ok beer.

Shared bottle at yule beer tasting on board Fridtjofen 08.12.17 and 09.12.17. Brown. Beige head and lacing. Aroma of medium roasted malt and citrus. Fine taste of medium roasted malt, chocolate, pine, lemon, lime and grapefruit. Good pine and grapefruit bitterness is lingering on.

Fra flaske på maritim juleølsmaking ombord på Fridtjofen, des-17: lett uklar brunrød kobber med flott skum som varer. Krydder, hvit pepper, sure bær, hint av kjeks. Tørr bitterhet. Kveldens første, og den ble fort glemt.

Bottle 50 cl. Dark brown, hazy with a medium light brown foamy head. Malt aroma, some chocolate and dark fruits. Light bittersweet with a ok roated malt end. Not bad.
