Bottled, from Gulating, Loddefjord. Black, small beige head. Rich aroma of earthy licorice. Dry with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Chocolate, coffee and licorice and earth. Mellow with mouthfilling roasty flavours. Mid bitter finish. Deep in character. Excellent!

50 cl bottle on April 22, 2017. BB 08.12.2017. From Gulating Ølutsalg Hamar.Black color with some brown shining through, light brown head. Sweet, light roasted scent, a bit fruity. Malty, sweet, dry, roasted taste. Dry, coffee beans, roasted aftertaste. Medium full mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.

KØLF 141016. Amber color with a beige head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, yeast. Flavor is roasted malt, hop, chocolate, coffee, caramel, yeast. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Big beige head. Clear brown still body. Earthy musty cinnamon aroma with caramelly notes. Sweetish roasty caramelly earthy taste with spicy wooden notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish roasty dusty caramelly aftertaste with cedar wood and spice notes. It’s not bad, but the toastiness is a bit harsh, and there’s a bit much earth. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Strømmen.)

Big offwhite head. Clear brown body. Grainy earthy toast aroma with sawdust and funk notes. Dryish earthy funky caramel taste with freshly cut wood and old cheese notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy rye crisp bread aftertaste with caramelly old cheese notes. If they could control the funk this would be a great beer, very close to some lovely, vivid flavours. 13.01.2017, 0,5l bottle @ home: Very slow gusher. Big fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is strange moldy, bloodlike minerals, grass, weeds, hay, old cellar, grain, mold, bark, paper. Taste is dry mineraly, weeds, bark, paper, soil, minerals, grass, burnt caramel, medicine, mold, grain. Medium to longlasting bitterness, harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Drainpour.
