500ml bottle bought at Gulating Tromsø. A two-finger sized, off-white head slowly diminishing over a cloudy, dark brown-red coloured body. Fair lacing. Spiced malty aroma, caramel and cinnamon. Similar taste of grainy caramel, dark spices and moments of dark fruits. Mild roasted bitter ending. Medium bodied. Pretty alright (Shared with Finn Arvid, Yuletide session at his place, Tromsø 15.12.2016).

Lett tåkete gylden brun med høyt beige skum. Lukter tørket frukt, korn og noe karamell. Middels fylde og blomsterbitterhet. Fruktig søtlig smak, noe karamell.

500ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg Tromsø. Cool label drawing. Off-white head with good retention. Spotty lacing. Cloudy red-brown coloured body. Proper earth and caramel nose. Caramel malty flavours joined by some impact of dark dough, chocolate, and moments of dark fruits towards the ending. Pretty tasty brew. (Shared with Finn Arvid at his place, Tromsø 18.10.2016).

Big brown head. Opaque black body. Strong earthy chocolate pudding aroma with toasty notes. Sweetish roasty chocolate pudding taste with mealy notes. Mid-to-thin body. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dry roasty mineraly aftertaste with chocolatey notes. Nice, drinkable, perhaps a bit dry and simplistic in flavour, but the aroma was great. (0.5l bottle, from Gulating Strømmen.)

Golden with a white head - Malt and hints of hops in the aroma - Malt body with some herbal hops that gives some bitterness in the back - The malt and hops with some bitterness goes into the finish - This was quite ok

Flaske 500ml spandert av og delt med Rune på rom 422 Thon Trondheim 5 Aug 16. Svart. Lysebrunt kremaktig skum. Litt lacing. Utmerket sjokoladearoma. Smaken sjokolade & lakris med en tørr bitter ettersmak. Veldig bra butikk-styrkeøl.

50cl bottle from Cunningham - thanks a lot! Pours close to black with a rather large and bubbely beige head. Roasty aroma with licorice, some dark fruits, some wooden notes and hints of chocolate and dark bread. Moderate sweet and surprisingly flavourful with a balanced bitterness. Tasty and and pleasant.
