500ml bottle bought at Gulating Ølutsalg, Trondheim, shared with Finn. Cola black body under a fading espresso head. Rings of lace down the glassware. Attractive, slightly burnt, aroma of dark chocolate and dark bread. Roasted dark grainy flavours, hints of black chocolate, dark bread, earth and a touch of coffee grounds towards the finish. Fine bodied. Pleasant to drink (Hotel room 05.08.2016).

Bottle. A very unclear golden colored beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. Rather fruity aroma with some pine cones and bready malts. It’s medium bodied and rather dry on the palate, with a nice bitterness. Fruityness, pale malts and some grass and pine cones in the flavor. Lasting bitter, fruity finish. Well, sure unbalanced, but it’s quite decent too. 160806

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grain, hint of citrus, orange and floral. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a grainy, caramel and orange finish. Body is light to medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Mørk mørk brun tåkete med høyt lys brunt skum. Navet kunne være sølevatn. Lukter kaffe, kakaopulver og mørk sjokolade. Middels fylde. Noe salt lakris, lett sødme mot kandis, mørk sjokolade. Kort lite bitterhet.

Black body with a fine thick beige head. Good intensity in the aroma. Nice body and a fine smooth carbonation. Good balance between sweetness and bitterness. Creamy nice texture. Coffee, roasted, some licorice and earth. A really nice and tasty stout. Especially at only 4,7%.

Flaske fra Gulating Vestkanten, delt med Børge: kobbergylden med fint skum som varer. God humlearoma med mango, citrus og litt urter. Smaken er like god, fint karbonert, så selv om den mistet litt piffen helt mot slutten sto den seg fint til kyllingsalaten. Av sted til Koengen og Paul McCartney!
