Draft pour pint at the Collective, as part of the brewers night. I’ll never need to try and remember where these guys are located ever again. From notes. Rating #1993, the year MLB added the Rockies and Marlins. Both of which have been to the World Series in this short amount of time before the Mariners have. Clear golden pour with a ton of foam head and lace. Grassy hop aroma. Flavor is mild cirtrus, creamy body, and a medium bitter finish. Overall a decent IPA, but a little off from a great one.

Draft pour pint at the collective. Clear golden color with no head. Soft plastic grain aroma. This doesn’t taste like anything to me really. Extremely bland. Hints of grain I guess. Very watery. I suppose that is the main ingredient so I van complain to much. Just too bland.

This thing was bursting with fresh, authentic, liberally used shishito flesh in the nose with just a touch of more citrusy habanero lying behind it.
Very peppery flavor, fresh and lively with sparkling carbonation, a light but not thin body and a crisp, pepper-driven finish. As Andrew mentions, the scovilles aren’t out in force here, which is surprising, since they still managed to get a good habanero character to it. Best beer by a longshot that I had here, of the four (this, tripel, enniac, schwarz).

Clear, brilliant copper-golden liquid shows plentiful carbonation creating a strong, white head.
Biscuits, pepper, dough and citrus in the nose all seem pretty on par for a Tripel with the alcohol being well concealed and no flaw noted. Some lighter hay notes, vanilla, honey and fairly reserved on the peach/banana thing that you so often get in large doses from brewpub tripels.
The flavor has lots of earthiness, dry, fruity, mildly bitter hops and grainy-to-doughy malts. A bit of alcohol mixes with the peppery phenols, loosening the body somewhat as the finish lends a mix of honey and citrus, with light carbonation and a fair amount of wateriness.

Dark black body is of undetermined clarity. Light tan head atop is perched at cover.
Coffee, light lactic notes, buttercream and just a touch of floral/herbal hops in the nose. No alcohol or flaws.
It’s quite drinkable, rather mindless and has a malty body, though I’d call it a bit too sweet for a schwarzbier, with chocolate, toffee and vanilla being quite prominent. Trails off with a bit too much dry roast lingering in place of what could be a more crisp, refreshing, lager-like finish. Seems like they got a bit carried away with the specialty malts here. Hop rates/varietals are appropriate, however and are quite subdued. Clean, though, which is good.

Foamy white head tops a drab bronze body with good clarity and modest retention to the head.
Hop notes get in a few jabs before being knocked out by heavy-handed diacetyl. So the stonefruits are all dunked in butter and it dosent make for much of an experience. Sadly, the flavor is very heavily dominated by it as well. Heavy butter with an oily texture, moderate carbonation and decent attenuation. 3/4/3/2/7
Draught at Ballard Beer Co, 8/17/16. Listed as 7.5% but that’s almost certainly wrong as nothing I can find says they’ve reproduced the original version.
Ahhh, much better and in fact, quite nice. No diacetyl this time and while the mosaic share space with cascade and other orange/piney hops, there’s still a lovely apricot-nectarine character from the mosaic, very bright, yet soft. Biscuity malts behind are very sparse.
Softly juicy in the flavor department, with apricot-peach transitioning to spicy orange while juicy pine adds more depth and green flavor. Soft, but very dry malt profile nonetheless provides enough depth to balance.

Draft 12 oz pour at the brewery. Pours a golden color with a patchy fizz head. Odd plastic aroma. Hops up front with a mild citrus. Malt finish. Basic boring beer for me, though drinkable, and not bad.
