Dark straw and a slight haze. Clean biscuity pale malts. Sweet pale malts on the palate with a little bit of biscuit. Per the style, woefully underhopped, but at least the malts are good.

On tap at Hopwired Festival, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is pretty subdued, with light earthy coffee and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is light and crisp, with crisp biscuity malt upfront with only a touch earthy coffee. Crisp and easy to drink. Solid.

Can - Rich dark roast and some pine. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Dark roast, nice hops and chocolate. Rich body and a rich finish. Solid, although getting to Black IPA territory.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of raspberries, gin botanicals and booze - certainly unusual. Flavour is likewise unusual, bringing out all the raspberries upfront, followed by the gin botanicals and then the booze. Confused and lacking cohesion, as the concept of the beer would suggest. Not sure what would inspire such a thing, but it's not particularly intriguing, though not offensive either.

On tap at Doan's, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a slightly herbal, piney hop character, with a crisp biscuity malt base. Flavour is along the same lines, with herbal and piney hops, with a dry biscuity malt base. Nicely balanced, with a dry crisp finish. Solid.

Had it at Alibi so I didn't catch the specs. Seemed like a strong Vienna sort of thing. Amber, bit hazy. Thin head. Lightly caramelly aroma. On the palate, lots more caramel. Seems around 6%ish, and at that point I’m looking for more malt complexity. It’s ok, but I wish they’d just go full decoction, 6 month aged bock for a beer like this; I want my lager specialist to dust Steamworks, not make a comparable product.

Taster at the brewery shared with Farees. Pours a clear pale amber with a white head. Aroma is barrel, black currants and some slight vodka phenols on the back. Similar taste with creamy-buttery oak notes. A bit odd, but interesting.
