Draught at the brewery
Dark brown colour. Hint of cocoa, but the flavour is very weak, the body is weak, a bit metallic and dirty in the final, no orange if I didn't know about it, and short final. Not a very good Mild, the adjuncts don't improve it.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, listed 16%
Black colour. Some smell of booze. The base beer is lightly sweet, some dark malt flavour, not rich enough to support the massive booze character; traces of chocolate and bourbon; rather burning; drinkable, but unbalanced, nothing elegant here.

Bottle at Weathered, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with vermouth, oak, and some straw. Flavour is rather sulfuric, with lots of spirits, and straw. This isn't working for me.

Bottle at Weathered, pours black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is very hot, with lots of alcohol, some perfume, bourbon and medium roast. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of heat, bourbon barrels, abrasive alcohol, and medium roast. Perfumey and chaotic despite being pleasant.

Bottle at Weathered, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma is quite acidic, with lots of guava, tart fruits and oak. Flavour is along the same lines, with acidic guava notes, oak, and wild yeast. A bit too acidic, but it works.

Lots of bourbon and a touch of sourness. Jet black with a small head. Big bourbon notes, really strong. Can’t tell if it’s sour or the alcohol. Too big and fresh.
