Cloudy, fruity hop mainly with citrus and a hint of vaguely tropical notes. Light fruity notes, moderate bitterness and a touch of pine. Good.

Cloudy, tan. Thin head. Big nose of oranges and weed. Rich and bitter, some sweet pale malts, bit yeasty, and I like those pineapple hops a lot, the weedy ones, too.

Hazy blond color. Very nice aroma, the yeast character is very strong, funky and spicy, with strong component of grapefruit peel, and some coriander. Dry mouthfeel, the spicy character of the yeast is nice, and then there is some resiny, citrusy and pungent hop.
Nice.

Hazy deep blond color, medium sized head. Mild aroma, some spicy hops, light manure. Lean body, weaker than expected, rather dry too; delicate malt base; the hops are citrusy, more juicy than resiny, refreshing, and the yeast provides a light spicy touch that is not disturbing. Not my kind of ipa, but good.

Tasting with Alex, Brian and George. Tall can from The Gull. Canned on 2017-02-25. Pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a white head. Taste is wild yeasts, hops, fruity notes, slightly citrusy. Taste is same. Quite pleasant and very refreshing.

On tap at The American, pours a cloudy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dry biscuity malt and light citrus hops. Flavour is very citrusy, with citrus and lightly piney hops, and crisp crackery malt. Dry and citrusy finish. Very nice.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out a very tangy, citrusy hop character from the Idaho 7, with some slightly fungal and earthy overtones. Flavour is quite dank, with earthy and citrusy hops upfront, followed by pine and a slight tang. Just enough malt backing, with only a hint of residual sweetness. Assertive and balanced well. Excellent.

Hazy pale, medium head. Fruity, lemony hop nose. Sweeter malts, light fruity hops...nice soft hop character, floral. Nice balance, very good tropical hops, malts are sweet but pale. Restrained esters. It’s not exactly my kind of IPA but it’s done well.

On tap at Powell, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a really nice blend of dank hops and farmhouse funk, with subtle tropical juiciness. Flavour is more farmhouse-y than IPA-like, with a great saison yeast character upfront, light farmhouse funkiness, and dry piney and citrus hops. Balanced really well and extremely refreshing. Bright and vibrant. Excellent.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Golden yellow with white head. Light citrus (mandarin orange) and pine hops with biscuity cracker malt. Flavour is very well balanced, although slightly subdued, finishes slightly watery. Started off great, but left feeling unfulfilled.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Cloudy to murky, blond, with small creamy head. Nice aroma, citrus peel, hint of tropical, a dash of musk. Smooth mouthfeel, seems quite dry; there is some timid malt flavor, but it’s the right malt for this beer; the hopping is very resiny, piney, a bit citrusy; the wheaty character is very moderate.
Compared to other East Coast IPAs in Vancouver, this one is much less chalky, more bitter (better balance) without being pithy, and less juicy.
Very good.
