On tap at the brewery. Pours a pale golden with a white head. Aroma is malty, slightly sour. Taste is sour with some ascorbic notes and strange bitterness. Meh.

Draft - Grapefruit and citrus hops. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Bright grapefruit citrus and Mandarin notes with some nice acidity. A little more complex and fruity than most local kettle sours.

Bottle: Poured a deep red color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and limited lacing. Aroma of fresh cherry notes with some blackberry notes also perceptible and some tart and vinous notes well-balanced against the fruit flavours. Taste is a great mix between some cherry and blackberry notes with some tart notes off-setting some of the fruits with light residua sugar flavours and some vinous notes also noticeable. Body is full with good carbonation. I love the berries that were added in this beer.

2018-01-21, bottle, 1 year old, 7-4-6-3-13=33
Golden color, small persistent head. It starts with a whiff of citrusy hops, then light funk, acidity, lacto. Bone dry, not much malt or funk character, moderate lacto flavor, prominent acidity, no hops quality, and a bit astringent in the final.
Ok beer, it got a bit worse with the aging (less interesting).

2016-10-16, draught at the brewery, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Darker shade of blond, clean. The aroma is dominated by zesty citrus peel, lactic acid, and very light funk touch. The mouthfeel is dominated by the lactic acid, with citrus peel later, and some astringency in the final; the acidity level is quite high.
Clean, straight forward, very pleasant.

Bottle, Legacy.
Golden colour, slightly dull, touch of haze, with a thin head. Has a nice orangey hop nose, with the sourness underpinning. The acidity is not as clean as I might like, the hop lending some nice citrus. The hops aren’t as big as I might like.

Bottle - Perfumy, passionfruit and citrus peel. Clear goldfish with a decent white head. Lots of tropical fruity notes and a pleasant sourness. Balanced and quite nice.

Bottle, LDB.
Golden amber, bright. Thin head. The aroma is very much full of old school c-hops: piney, touch orangey, and a nice caramelly malt backdrop. Sweet front, with biscuity, caramelly malts. Bitterness is medium low. Hop character is lightly piney, but takes a back seat to the malts in this beer - oddly for a fresh hop beer it is the bitterness that provides most of the hop influence. Pretty good moreish 90s APA - nailing the malts was really key here.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grainy, seltzery notes, lots of acidity, and dry hopping. Flavour is along the same lines, with floral dry hopping upfront, followed by moderately acidic stone fruits, and seltzery notes. Same problem as all the other Powell Street sours - distasteful acidity and seltzery notes. No good.

Draught at Odd Society; 14oz
Hazy golden color with generous head. The Pale Ale is smooth, moderately sweet, well hopped, but the Citra character is not evident; on top of it sits a fairly strong but well integrated juniper note, herbal, even with a hint of rosemary. Balanced.
Good beer, but not better than the regular one, I don’t get the hype.
