amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out some roasted malt, with a little cocoa powder. Flavour is unusually potent for a brown, with cocoa powder and light roasted malt. Extremely clean, with loads of depth - unusual for a brown. Probably the best local brown ale as of now. Great stuff.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a clear copper golden with medium white head. Aroma and flavour is crisp, with biscuity malt, grassy hops, and a light floral spiciness. Very clean and crisp, making this highly drinkable. Very nice blonde.

On tap at the brewery. Medium brown. Thin head. Fruity, molasses, light bitterness, touch of black malt. Slight acidity in the finish, more carbonation would help, maybe a touch drier in the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Dull brown. Aroma is a bit chocolatey. I like that the chipotle is up front. The chocolate shows up, with a light body. Sweetish finish.

They intend to have a brown ale in their lineup. This is one they are testing out. They felt it was probably too hoppy but the drinking public seemed to like it, so it might stick around (with a new name) down the road. Cloudy light brown. Nice nutty aroma and taste, nice bitterness, dry finish. Doesn’t look like much but a good brown with potential.

Light bronze. Mandarin nose with a bit of ripe fruit bitterness. A bit heavy on the malts but a decent IPA.

Light bronze, malt accented nose with light toastiness. Has a malty, toasty character with a moderate balancing hop bitterness. Maltier golden but I still like it. Named for the wood chipper across the street. I had a good view of it, and it was kind of hypnotic.

On tap at BC beer awards. Pours a clear gold with little head. Aromas of light pine, lemon, and grass. Flavors are similar though somewhat muted. More of an ISA.

Draft - Cask - Just like gingerbread with lots of clove. Muddy copper gold with a small light brown head. Tons of spice with lots of clove and ginger with some brown sugar. Not bad, but I doubt I could drink much more than a half glass.
