PET bottle from the brewpub. Deep black colour, cremy beige-brown head, promising chocolatey nose. Full-bodied, superb malty flavours with chocolate, caramel, biscuits, slightly buttery. Smooth and velvety carbonation. Shy earthy hops in the lingering finish. Superb stuff from a mindblowingly good brewery.

PETka from the brewery. Clear straw-yellow colour, mid-sized white head. Shy resiny-hoppy nose. Light-bodied, clean and elegant, shy but pleasantly sweet malty base, loads of delicious Czech hops with resiny and grassy accents. Bitter-sweet overall character, lingering resiny hops. Smooth carbonation. A perfectly balanced, very fragrant, light and elegant, extremely moreish desítka, a light pale lager as only the Czechs can produce! Sláva! Wish I had bought more!

(Draught at U Vodoucha, Prague, 25 July 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with toast, apricots and crisp-bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, toast, a touch of brown sugar and a balanced spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.

Draught at the Cesky Pivni Festival, Prague/Praha, on May 22, 2015.Clear golden color, fluffy off-white head. Fruity, butterscotch taste. Butterscotch aftertaste. Medium to fizzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Butterscotch scent. This rating just gave me my 100th Czech brewery :D

draught at Zly Casy. Clear, deep golden colour, creamy white head. Canned sweetcorn in the nose and retronasal. Lots of hops resulting in an impressive bitterness. Reminds me of a well hopped English Best Bitter. Shy fruity character. The malt is in the background but balances the bitter hops very well. The fruity-bitter flavours dominate this very interesting and nicely crafted beer.
