Bottle, courtesy matta. Pours dark brown with thin mocha head. The aroma is roasty, burnt, a touch of molasses and licorice. Nice. The taste is roasty dark malts with some drying astringency then moving into a modest level of aluminum metal shaving and hay notes. Tastes off.

750 ml bottle...on the pour a chocolate body with a caramel colored head fluffy, but i poured is rather vigorously....on the nose...a little chocolate and a hop whiff...metal in mouth and nose...a touch of toffee and dried fruit, like a fruitcake...thinner body than I would like for a stout...a little chocolate--a lotta metal

courtesy of retorp. Pours black with tan head. Aroma of roasted malts with light chocolate. Taste, roasted malts, very light in body with watery hoppy finish. Fits the style, nothing spectacular.

Shaker pour at d.b.a. Manhattan. In general I think this beer is a perfect standard for the Irish Stout. Not as special as some craft brews but definitely much more indicative of the style than a Guinness. It comes with a thick tan head, I am not sure if this was on nitro but the head looked like it. Aroma is watery dark malts, which made up of roast and just a hint of cocoa. Taste is very faint tobacco and prune, which I find to be special about this version compared to most other Dry Stouts. Has a light slick chocolate finish. So damn quaffable, can just keep putting this down. The flavorful aspects are not in your face but they are there if you search.

Bottle 50cl.Clear medium red amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, nutty, light cardboard notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [300908]

Black with a large w off white head. Aroma had plenty og roasted mlalt, coffee and chocolate notes. Flavour was sweet with plenty wof roasted malt, coffee and chocolate notes.finished with loads of roasted malt. Love it.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of cellar/KimJohansen. Pours dark brown to black with a huge, dense and light chocolate brown head. Dry roasted malty aroma, light smoked touch. Mild sweet at first with dry, spiced and hard roasted malt note following. Light acidic and hardroasted touch into a dry and bitter finish. Lasting hardroasted impression.

at Honest Town Brew Pub–on nitro-pours a cascading light brown head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-roasty/cocoa powder. Taste is dark malt-roasty/cocoa powder/some coffee, slight acidic hops. Dry finish.

750ml stopper-top bottle. Deep black with maybe a hint of the deepest brown. Big, frothy, lasting head. Rugged, big alcohol Baltic Porter aroma, really does the beer no favors. Big bitter cocoa flavors, with a semi watery body. The alcohol is a little over-detectable. Raisiny, dark fruit flavors. Rustic and old school on the palate. Dry, sandy mouthfeel to the finish. Heavy stuff, a hearty example of the style.

Dark brown with reddish glimts and a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and coffee notes. Flavour likewise with a somewhat dry liquerice finish.
