Poured up at GABF 2012 with a slightly murky gold body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma is sweet with some sort of cheap candy like bourbon mixing with modest levels of sweet dark fruity esters and vague resiny bitterness. The taste hits with a rich barrel aided thin sweet body that delivers brown sugar coated prunes and ripe red apples and pears as well as fairly smooth sweet bourbon notes blending with a vague bitter to spicy note that might just be a touch of spicy oak. All and all pretty decent but on the thin side.
