Tap @ CB & Potts Collindale Fort Collins. Pours a deep brown appearance with a nice dark brown head. Chocolate, light roast, toffee, licorice aroma. Fairly high carbonation. Milk chocolate, somewhat sweet, creamy, slightly herbal flavor. Pretty solid beer.

On Tap at the Boise BP Hazy medium brown with a litt orange highlights. Classic malty slightly fruity and spice aroma. Flavor was a bit subdued, but the typical banana and sweet holiday spice are here. medium body and overall seemed a bit light. Maybe was expecting more along the line of a "dopple-" Very tasty. I forget how much I like this style and the yeast that is typically used.

On Tap at the Boise BP Hazy deep mahogany with a light tan fine head and soapy lacing. Rich malty aroma with lots of piney hops. Big hoppy flavor and woody malt character. Definitely on the hoppy side of the classic winter ale.

From notes. Draft at the shaumburg location. Pours black with a half finger of dark tan head. Loads of cho olate, caramel and coffee. Probably the best beer made by these guys. Quite enjoyable.

On tap at Ram, Tacoma. An unclear one, yellowish golden in color and topped by a rather small, white head. Pleasant aroma with sufficient amounts of coriander seeds and orange peel. Pale malts too. Some bitterness in the flavor, as well as pale malts, orange peel and coriander. Medium body, pleasant carbonation. A real thirst quencher, well suited for the hot summer days. 130629

On tap at Ram, Tacoma. A dark brown beer looking almost clear, and topped by a beige head of moderate size. Roasted, toffee-ish aroma with some coffee and treacle. The flavor is mostly roasted and toffee-ish, with some bitterness chiming in in the back. Full body, semi-dry. Certainly a fine porter, but it’s a bit boring and uninteresting. A bit low on ABV maybe. Well, wouldn’t mind drinking more of it though. 130629
