Growler courtesy of a traveling beer club member. This Stout is an opaque brown-black with a medium khaki head that dissipates slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roasty aroma with malt and coffee notes, plus some chocolate. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted coffee, sweet malt, hops and chocolate. The finish is mildly bitter coffee up front with a chocolatey aftertaste. Pretty good from start to finish.

Growler courtesy of a traveling beer club member. This brew is a clear brownish-amber color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light body with a sweet malty flavor with notes of caramel and hops in the background. The finish is malty with a short sweet aftertaste. Slightly above average Amber overall.

Approximately 4 oz sample at the brewpub in Hays, Kansas. Pour is a murky cloudy brown black, very much a nitro pour. Aroma is toasted and roasted malt, along with a citrus resin hoppiness. The taste is a nice roasty toasty affair, then turning to a big citrus resin hoppiness. Unique and really bright stout; fun beer. Palate is a slick nitro mouthfeel. Creamy, easy to drink. This was my favorite of the sampler.
