Tap at the brewery - what on odd beer to put brett in - really fits.better in the marzen catagory - mostly malt forward - pleasant, toasty, moderately rich - brett odds some odd herbal notes and lightly dirty phenolics, band aid - pretty much just tastes like a lightly.infected ofest - meh.

Tap at the brewery - clear light gold - well-attenuated, with a lovely, creamy texture, but rather simplistic, tasting more like a blonde ale than anything else - a hint of phenolics (peppery) and very crackery malts - I actually like it quite a bit, but not as a saison.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours an orangish brown appearance with a tan head. Nutty caramel aroma with some slight tropical fruits and a bit of chemicals. Moderately tart. Vinegar, burnt sugar / caramel / toffee, light smoke, toasty flavor. Pass.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a hazy pink appearance with a white head. The aroma smells straight up like StalinCat - http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-249414.htm - and just straight up cat piss. There is some tropical fruits, but sheesh, it’s like a litter box. The flavor was much better. Very juicy / passion fruit flavor. Some grapefruit. Dull bitterness. Mild sweetness. A bit of lactic acid. The aroma and flavor were night and day.

On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a cloudy reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Aroma brought black cherries, toasted grains, dark fruit, and some spicy herbal notes. Strangely enough, the flavor had a bit of tropical fruit to go with the cherries along with some tea / herbal and caramel flavors. Fairly smooth flavors. A bit odd but not bad.

Tap - clear amber - soapy lace - supposedly brewed with lacto and sour cherries - nose of toffee, roasted nuts, some metallic tang, raisin, very light lacto - no noticeable cherry - flavor is medium tart, with a moderate caramel sweetness and light toastiness that follows - very light cherry and a lacto punch in the finish - some tobacco develops late - fairly simple and lacking the complexity you expect from even a regular dubbel, let alone a soured one with a fruit addition - meh.

Tap - a very light bodied, crisp, dry, and refreshing ipa - moderate carbonation, with a surprisingly creamy texture - malts are light and airy, so this is really a showcase for the hop acids and bitterness, neither of which are overdone - sadly, the abv, at over six percent, makes this surprisingly light ipa something you can’t make a session out of - I quite enjoyed this one.

Clear golden pour – apparently brewed with a saison yeast – this one is a bit of a miss – a lot of burnt popcorn and husky grain flavors in this one – some spice and alcohol – medium sweet and moderately acidic – light metallic character – light toasted grain – toasted grain – creamed corn – meh.

Man, this is one seriously woody and smoky black ipa –lots of woody, twiggy, earthy hop character, followed by a medium sweet, moderately acidity black malt character – a touch of smoke – moderate roast – sweetness through the middle leads to a dry finish of cocoa, light mineral, woody hops – earthy finish – pretty dope black IPA.

Very nice American style golden ale – lightly hazy golden – floral saaz hop nose – clean, crisp, medium dry flavor – light honey notes, moderate crisp, dry minerality, floral and herbal notes – really nicely attenuated – firm texture – tight carbonation – finish is a little soapy, but otherwise a solid, crisp session ale.
