Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Cloudy nut brown, average head. Caramelly nose. Sweet and fairly soft with medium body. Mild and spritzy, fruity and lightlyestery. So melon and metal shows up as well. Stays shy of being overpowering and cloying, and is instead mild and laid back. Somehow the flavour doesn’t really cover the whole mouth as in the best Belgian ales.

Bottled. Hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sour fruits, nuts and slight caramel. Flavour is caramel, nuts, some alcohol and a bit of licorace. A very smoothly and pleasantly balanced brew.

Brown beer, an unremarkable appearance. Aroma has toffee and malt. Flavor is more malt and bitter hops. It is interesting enough, but a medium bodied, rather ordinary beer overall. I have no idea why this is rated so highly.

Bottle @ Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours a hazy orange color with a long lasting slightly off-white head. Sweet malty and spicy aroma with hints of citrus. Smoth malty spicy bitter flavor. Has a spicy and slightly bitter finish.

RBSG07. From 75 cL bottle. Pours deep amber to brown. Aroma of dried raisin, no sweetness. Flavour is sweet and alcohol with a nice raisin flavour. Finish is sweet going dry.

750 ml bottle. Maybe I had higher expectations than I should have had because I was trying a Lost Abbey ale, but this one left me wanting. Though this beer is not meant to be as complex as its Belgian cousins, it was mostly one-dimensional and that one dimension was not all that enjoyable. Cloudy yellow-golden body with a fizzy, small, white head. Aroma is grainy with a hint of lacquer-like yeast. The flavor is moderately sweet and harshly bitter with a light astringency on top of that. Lively carbonation and a medium body.

Bottle on 07/18/2009. Dark brown body with a medium frothy tan head. Light tart aroma with lots of molassas and caramel. Sweet, tart flavor, lots of spice, with some allspice and clove.
