Canned in Aprtil 2002. Pale yellow. Pork aroma. Light bodied with salty unclean finish. No masterpiece...

(Bottle 33 cl) Dear God, only upon my return from Belgium did I notice, that this beer had an expiry date in January 2001! That is a beer more than 4 years too old. Normally this is totally devastating for a lager, but well, well, well... Amber-coloured, slightly hazy, flat head with large, odd bubbles. Incredible almost smoked malty notes and then a fantastic aroma of sherry - not madeira. Short, dry bitterness in the palate. A unique experience indeed! Bought from André Paeleman in his tavern in Wetteren - and a close rival to his own Uitzet beer... 160505
