Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours gold with a nice creamish white head. Aroma of earthy honey with a touch of citrus. Med body. Flavor is dryish honey (still a bit sweet), earthy, bitter (moderately) and a citrus note. Peter achieves another tasty and unusual ale.

Tap at the taproom. Aroma is earthy with a hint of stone fruit. Medium body. Dry, yet fruity. Earthy. Very nice.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours gold with a creamy/foamy white head. Aroma suggests Amarillo. Med body. Flavor is sort of orange/citrus and it’s earthy. It’s a very tasty DIPA.

Bottle from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of buckwheat and earth/yeast. Med body at least. Flavor is strikingly Belgian - yeast/spice - and the buckwheat isn't lost . Pretty dry. Surprisingly bitter in a Belgian/earthy way. Very tasty. --- Beer merged from original tick of / Three Weavers No One Taught That To Me Yet on 17 Feb 2020 at 01:12 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. Original review text: Waxed 500 from the brewpub. Pours orange tinged gold with a nice, creamy white head. Aroma of bourbon and something lightly earthy. Med plus body. Flavor is earthy, and I think spelty, with a little wood, and a decent amount of bourbon. Dry, but not absolutely dry. I think heat and bourbon are taking the place of hop bitterness. It's very tasty. Even with bourbon it seems like a Belgian ale.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Intense tropical aroma - I'm going for some passionfruit. Med body or so. Flavor is juicy, intense fruit - mostly tropical - and I think passionfruit is definitely in it. Pale malt support - barely detectable. Drier than I'd think it should be, pretty fruitily hoppy and nicely bitter. Quite delicious.

Tap at Cap Tap 6th Ann. Pours brassy gold with a white head. Aroma is a bit clove/banana. Med body. Flavor is moderately clove, lightly banana, with some slightly roasty malt and a touch of yeast. Nails the style. Moderate flavors; tasty; good drink.

Tap at Cap Tap. Pours milkshake gold with a white head. Aroma suggests dank fruit. Med body or so. Flavor is moderately dank and quite tropical. Juicy, but drier than that suggests. Quite hoppy. Enough bitter to satisfy even me. There’s a lot of hop here, IMHO, and I recommend this highly.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours bright medium/dark gold with a white head. Aroma is nice, but the hop character is hard for me to pin down. Seems very mixed citrus. Med body at least. Malt is very lightly roasty. Somewhat juicily undry. Bitter. It is a very pleasing flavor package. Maybe a subdued and fruity West Coast IPA. Tasty.

Poured from a crowler acquired two days ago. Aroma is very fruity with lots of guava, mango, passion fruit, and citrus. Lighter resin and dank notes. A bit of cracker malt and hints of alcohol. Pours a super hazy, murky, dull straw color with a large, fluffy, thick, white head that recedes slowly but steadily to a thin film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium to medium light sweetness with some light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness with light alcohol notes. Moderate guava, mango and passion fruit notes with light dank, resin notes. Medium light tangerine, mandarin and orange notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a very nice, fruity, hazy IPA. Just enough malt profile and sweetness to carry all the hop aroma and flavors.

Poured from a bottle. Aroma is that of a classic saison; quite a bit of fruit and floral esters with some phenolics. Pear and over ripe stone fruit with hints of red apple. Light peppery phenolics and grain notes with hints of clove. Pours a slightly hazy, bright yellow gold with a large, thick, fluffy, pillowy white head that exhibits nice retention. High lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with medium light grain notes. Medium light bitterness. Moderate fruit esters and light floral notes. Light peppery and clove phenolic notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a decent saison. I like a little more creative license to my saisons but this is a nice classic representation.
