Description
Hey! Welcome to Urban Roots. We’re here because we love people and beer. We wanted to make beer and create a space to show that love to the world. Our place has plenty of room for people to hang out and enjoy one another, some super fresh beer and some really tasty food. Urban Roots started when Rob and Peter decided it was time to open the brewery they’d been dreaming of for a long long time. They wanted a place where they could express their love for the industry they’ve been a part of for so long. With Urban Roots they hope to pay homage to all of the wonderful people they have met on their journey. People that showed them amazing beer and maybe more importantly showed them a good time.

Crowler from the brewpub. Pours dark opaque gold with a huge foamy near beige head. Aroma is spicy pale stone fruit. Brought pickled peaces to mind. Med body at least. Flavor is fairly dry, lightly spicy and peach. It's even a little spicy/earthy astringent. Tastes good. Nice saison.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is chocolate/vanilla for me. Near med body. Flavor shows coffee first, followed by chocolate with vanilla notes. Not very dry; not very bitter. Verging on a desert beer. But a bit too earthy for that. If you like porters with flavorful adjuncts, this!

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of juicy fruits - mix of tropicals and citrus. Med body or so. Flavor is very tropical, but doesn’t seem to fit the usual suspects. Citrus plays second fiddle. Mild malt support. Juicily undry; quite hoppy; a bit more than moderately bitter. Stands out a little ways from the tropical crowd.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Light floral aroma, backed by a little earthy fruit. Med body or nearly. Flavor is floral with some light mysterious fruits - like pale stone, but maybe wild light non-red berry things. Just a bit of pale malt support. Flavors are strong, but are very pleasing. Heck of a session ale. Fantastic to take a growler to the lake or pool.

Tap at Cap Hop. Pours bright gold with a white head. Aroma of Nobel hop - cleaner than many. Med body. Flavor starts bready, then goes spicy/fruity. Pretty dry. Spicy/grassy/fruity bitter. Finishes off with an earthy suggestion in the mouth. Really tasty Pils.
