On tap at the Wrecking Bar. Pours light orange, with a thin, beige head. Aroma is caramel, light earthy hops, pine, and a thin red wine character. Sweet, with a light spiciness. Medium body, lightly carbonated, and a little thin. Overall, this is a fair beer, not hopped enough for a typical tripel, and leaves little impression.

750 mL bottle. Pours a nice muddy brown with a small, tan head. Caramel, dates, raisins, cloves, and chocolate pudding. Very sweet and malty, with a nice savory spice, and no perceptible bitterness. Heavy body, malty, thick, and chewy, with a nice, velvety mouthfeel. Iβm very impressed! Great yeasty characteristics, and a lovely palate.

On tap at the Brick Store Pub at the 17th Anniversary. Pours black, with a thin, tan head. The aroma is tobacco, molasses, milk chocolate, cloves, and black cherries. Very sweet, with a mellow bitterness. Medium body, velvety mouthfeel, and smooth. This is a very nicely made stout, with distinct bourbon notes, but not dominated by the barrel. Great aromatics, pleasant flavor, and a great palate. Highly recommended!

Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Light gold color, with a medium, white, bubbly head. The aroma is excellent, with notes of lemon zest, bread dough, bananas, resin, pineapple, and some light, grainy spiciness - cardamom, perhaps? The flavor is mostly citrusy sweetness up front, with a solid bitterness through the finish. Light body, a little sticky, crisp and astringent. Overall, this is an excellent, complex, sessionable beer. The sample wasnβt nearly enough.

Sample at the Decatur Craft Beer Fest. Pours black, with a big, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is molasses, dates, coffee, and semi-sweet chocolate. The flavor is very sweet, with only a light burnt malt bitterness in the finish. Medium body, sticky, and a little too astringent. Despite the slightly unpleasant mouthfeel, this is a good, balanced, complex stout. Nicely done!

On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Clear, copper pour, with a huge, pillowy, white head and thick lacing. Smells at first like a standard American IPA, with resinous and earthy hops dominating, but with background notes of bananas, lemon peels, and candi sugar. The flavor is mild bitterness, and light, fruity sweetness. Medium body, creamy, and chewy. Overall, this is a nicely balanced Belgian-style IPA. It avoids the pitfall of overdoing the esters and candi sugar, and instead uses the Belgian yeast to add subtle depth to a good IPA. Very nice.
