Treble colour. Fine aroma. Very satisfying flavour. After 10 seconds the taste was even better. Thus, my first 5/5 palate-rating.

Cloudy dark color, small lasting head. Small yeast particles floating around. Acidic aroma, malty, licorice. Malty taste, strong. Bitter dry palate, alcoholic. Heavily overrated stuff. --- Beer merged from original tick of Delirium Noël on 30 Dec 2018 at 19:35 - Score: 7

Aged four years (approx)...Dark amber; sweet, sherryish, prunes, Christmas fruitcake. Sweet candy flavours, chocolate notes, cherries, very faint pineapple. Sweet straightforward palate overall, with a slightly sugar maltiness in the finish.

Strong golden ale, avec chunks. Stiff alcohol shot, cloying residual sugars, too much perfume. Simple beer. Quite similar to Delerium Tremens.

Amber, sweet, cloying beer/whisky blend. Light whisky notes, lots of sugar. Uneventful.

Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Ruby. Bubblegum & cherry aroma. Vinuous, peppery and sweet with clean sugary flavour. Sweet finish with a hint of dust. Better balanced than any other Huyghe beer I can think of.

Bottled. Pale orange. Passion aroma. Enormously sweet nose, sticky mouthfeel. But then, towards the finish the syrup is scattered for a breif moment and some lambic shines through. This makes it the winner in our round of ultra sweet fruit beers, but still this is way too sweet for human consumption.

Bottled. Pale yellow and lightly hazy. Huge mango and passion aroma. Very sweet and candyish. Like drinking liquid extra sweet winegums. Not exactly unpleasant, but not a beer experience I want to return to too often.
