Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a black color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that left a moderate amount of stringy lace in its wake.
The aroma brings together some chocolate malt, semi-sweet with a sly roastiness to it. Some cocoa powder and then subtle fresh roasted coffee beans.
The flavor blends all of those previously mentioned aromas together, somewhat sweet with a nice balanced back-up of bitter to roast. Crisp sweet to roasty aftertaste sliding into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and ABV, well, that seems a touch heavier than expected but acceptable.
Overall, very nice stout that I would have again.

Thanks for bringing a Growler of this down here to Juneau, Frank.
This was poured into a mug.
The appearance was a nice hazy semi-dark brown color with a one finger white to off white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing speckling the glass nicely.
The smell had a lot of rich nutty to caramel to toffee to chocolate to coffee greatness. Spectacularly enthralling!
The taste was sweet yet roasty with a super nice nutty flavoring coating my taste buds.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was extremely smooth and rolled around in a super nice velvety texture.
Overall, hot damn, what a fine brown ale, now I just need to get up to Seward.
