Description
Troy Casey began Casey Brewing and Blending in the fall of 2013 with the idea of creating a blendery (a facility that doesn’t have a brewery themselves, but still makes beer) in the Roaring Fork Valley, a place where he and his fiancé had recently decided to make their home. After searching for the perfect location for their barrel cellar, they found their current spot in South Glenwood right on the Roaring Fork River. Troy first began brewing sour and wild beer in 2009 and it quickly took over all of his brewing interest. This all culminated with the creation of Casey Brewing and Blending, a place where Troy will be able to create blends his way.

Surprised at the low number of ratings on this one, Troy should make another one of these! Delicious blend of tangy and sweet funk, mild acidity, lovely complexity.

Super light, mostly dead, but nice super light funky apple and pear notes still. Lil bump to rating due to drinkability after 8 years.

6/10/23 bottle. Pours a dark purple with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is vanilla bean, berry, oak, earth. Slick body, strong vanilla, berry, earthy, nice tartness, enjoyed this.

9/25/23 bottle. Pours a cloudy gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is grass, apricot, lemon, oak, floral. Slick body, balanced tartness, giving me dry hopped oak theory vibes.

Pale yellow colour with light haze and quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have some funk and quite harsh vinegary acidity. Finish is somewhat milder. More citrus and vinous acidity. Woodiness of old white wine barrels. Perhaps too harsh in the acidity.
