Description
Troy Casey began Casey Brewing and Blending in the fall of 2013 with the idea of creating a blendery (a facility that doesn’t have a brewery themselves, but still makes beer) in the Roaring Fork Valley, a place where he and his fiancé had recently decided to make their home. After searching for the perfect location for their barrel cellar, they found their current spot in South Glenwood right on the Roaring Fork River. Troy first began brewing sour and wild beer in 2009 and it quickly took over all of his brewing interest. This all culminated with the creation of Casey Brewing and Blending, a place where Troy will be able to create blends his way.

Bottle, 75cl. An unclear, pale yellow colored beer with a small, white head that lasts. The aroma is very funky and citrusy, with orange, lemon, some barnyard, pale malts and a faint peppery touch. It’s medium bodied and very dry, with a nice carbonation level. The flavor has a fine bitterness, orange peel, lemon juice, some peppery yeasty notes, pale malts and a barnyard touch. Lasting finish. It’s lacking a bit on freshness compared to how I’d like my saisons, but it’s a fine brew anyway. 150228

Fruchtiger, deutlich säuerlicher Antrunk. Dabei bleibt die Säure im Vordergrund, spritzig, natürlich. Dahinter wenig hefig, harmonisch, mittellanger, seicht ausgleitender Nachgeschmack. 10/12/12/12/11/12

Bottle shared during the first Late Nite session of RBWG 2015. Pours Hazy pink with a creamy white head. Lovely poopy aroma with notes of berries, sweat. Light to medium sweet flavor with crisp, refreshing dry cherry notes, subtle lemony acidity. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Cleansing finish, more sturdy acidity, lemon, dry cherry.
