Draught at CBC. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and heavy hoppy flowery aroma. Heavy bitter nice flavor. Average heavy bitter finish. oily palate.

Draught at CBC. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Grape pine notes. Moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

On tap at CBC, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma of moderate roasted malt, a little powdered cocoa, and some dry wood. Flavour is very dry and roasted, with notes dry roasted malt, dry cocoa, and some faint coffee beans. Very well-balanced and very dry, making it highly drinkable for the style. Fairly standard, but well-made.

Sample from tap, CBC 2013. Dark brown colour with a big, tan head. Roasted aroma with chocolate malts, coffee and bread malts. Licorice and dark dried fruits. Taste is sweet. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Finishes lightly bitter and roasted. Nice.

Sample from tap, CBC 2013. Dark amber colour with deep red hues. Sweet aroma with caramel and chocolate malts, toasted. Dark, dried fruits, exotic fruit. Taste is sweet. Full body, creamy texture. Finishes sweet and fruity. Good BW.
