Keg at BD Soho, 03/08/18. Pitch black with a decent tan cap. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, red berries, toffee, brown sugar melt, faint vanilla. Taste comprises chocolate dipped raspberries, light roast, toffee, molasses, brown sugar melt, toffee. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced boost. Ok stuff ... sweetness is fairly tempered.

Aroma has apricot, ripe fruits and some toffee. Flavour has apricot, ripe fruits, some English hops and mild mineral tones. Alcohol is present but it does not disturb. A stout with this pale appearance? Nope, tastes like a strong ale β perhaps even an English one(?) Decent.

650ml bottle @ Ruoholahti Beer Festival. Sweetish, stuffy and grainy with hints of roastiness, coffee, earthy notes and vegetables. Feels a bit off.

Keg at BD. It pours jet black with a thick tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, creamy, tangy raspberry, chocolate cake, vanilla, biscuit, maltesers and bourbon biscuit. The taste is bitter - sweet, right roasted malt, umami, dark chocolate, biscuit, caramel shortbread, tangy fresh raspberry, coffee cake, burnt toast with a slick, roasty finish. Medium - full body with moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty flavoursome and thankfully (for me) not too much cheesecake character.

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com. BBE 10/10/17. Pours dark copper orange with a small head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, toffee and earthiness. Taste is sweetish, caramely malty and earthy with some pine and toffee. Finish is sweetish and caramely with some earthiness and pine. Decent, not very fresh obviously.

Draft@Brewdog, Leicester. Amber beer with a reasonable head. The aroma is airy, and the flavour is in some ways rich with a gentle roasted bitterness. Overall a nice but quite indescribable beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
