This year we have a thunderous imperial red that lets the malts and the hops really shine through. Raise your glass high and toast to another amazing Beatnik creation!
Biscuity is the word, as this beer is warmingly toasty and extremely inviting. Aromas and flavours of toffee and crème caramel are joined by citrus and red berry fruits from start to finish, with a welcoming lift of alcohol on the far aftertaste.
Malts: Dark Crystal, Munich and Pale.
Hops: Apollo, Centennial and Simcoe.

330ml bottle from Brewdog.com. BBE 10/10/17. Pours dark copper orange with a small head. Aroma of caramely malts, pine, toffee and earthiness. Taste is sweetish, caramely malty and earthy with some pine and toffee. Finish is sweetish and caramely with some earthiness and pine. Decent, not very fresh obviously.

Keg at BD Shoreditch. It pours deep red with a decent beige head. The aroma is sweet, herbal, liquorice, brown bread, jammy berry and cola cubes. The taste is bitter - sweet, toffee, pine needles, brown bread, jammy red berry, Victoria sponge, some alcohol, fatty, earth and leather with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bitter enough in my opinion. OK, but could have been better.
