Bottle, 5%. Good fruity aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour is nicely malty and sightly citric. Has a good lime and grapefruit bitterness and flavour.

Cask-conditioned at the Berkeley (JDW), Bristol 14/3/2019. Plae gold in colour, with a tight, white, head. Lemon character, some citrus hops, light malts and a dryish finish. Good.

Bottle at home from the Wine Society. A good pour and a nice appearance in the tankard. A typical red ale with hops, lots of malt and overall completely forgettable. I had it two nights ago and nothing sticks out in my mind.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell as Brú Red. A pale amber pour with a loose white head; a sweet red fruit aroma; sweet fruity taste with a cereal grain body; and a little herbal bitterness kicking in at the end. Tastes like an Irish Red, but doesn't look like one.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with a thick off-white head and a light but pleasantly frothy fizz. Caramel, lemon and earth. Mild bitterness. Pleasant, quite liked the hint of lemon.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2018. Deep Amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Some floral hops, berry fruits, herbal notes, caramel and digestive malts, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Handpull cask at the Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Light brownish amber, clear with a film of white head. Light aroma, some grain,some astringency. A bit of wood. Bitter taste with a chewy malty note, only turning slightly more sweet in the clean finish. However the aftertaste turns bitter yet again, leaving leafy hop bitterness in the mouth. Refreshing and a damn sight better than I'd have thought.
