Sample at CBC 2014, Blue Session. Poured a murky dark brown with a thin whispy white head. The flavour is strong bitter with a massive boozy alcohol palate and not much else. This beer is all about the alcohol and thankfully I’m not.

Bottle from off licence, Copacabana, Rio. Clear dark gold pour with a smallish white head. Aroma and flavour was grassy hop, caramel malts and a little citrus Lingering bitter finish. Quite light and very drinkable. Enjoyed it. Head and shoulders above most of the beer you come across in Brazil.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade
Muddy dull amber color with brown hue and no head. Aroma of spirit, it smells a bit like tequila (more agave based than sugar cane based), rum later, and light oak. Strong body, but the mouthfeel is flat and a bit oily; malt flavor, very sweet, with a boozy character, cane sugar spirit; relatively strong bitterness, a bit woody, hint of Marsala wine (therefore lightly oxidized).
If I think of this as a liquor and not as a beer, it’s quite good. But rather cloying in big quantities.
