Draught at Brü, Irvine. Opaque, black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of licorice, roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, biscuit and pumpernickel. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with roasted notes and some biscuit. Light to medum bodied with medium carbonation. A bit thin for an Imperial Stout. Reminds me a bit of one of my home brewed IS.

Draft at Imbibe Wine. Nose is citrus and lighter amounts of pine. Lightly hazy copper with a medium cream head. Flavor is bitter as all IPAs should be with piney, grapefruit notes sneaking through from the nose.

50cl bottle pours deep darkness with tall mocha colored head of foam. The aroma offers up notes of dark roasted malts, malt balls, baker’s chocolate and some coffee. The taste delivers dark roasted malts, coffee and those roasty notes are tempered by some yummy chocolate like notes. Overall the level of coffee is subdued and thus leaving room for the other tasty notes like chocolate and the dark roasted malts. Pretty nice stuff.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours clear copper with a foamy frothy off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit and resin. Med body or better. Flavor is a soft malt backbone with a decent load of grapefruit and resin. Sort of on the road to NW, but not too close. The rye is perceptible and the hop is very nice. If it’s time for IPA, this could be a good choice.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours hazy copper with a small white head. Fruity aroma. With a little sharpness that could be citrus. Near med body. Seems a bit thin as the minimal carb leaves. It’s lightly fruity, does seem to have citrus, is tending towards dry and astringent. Drinks real good.

Draught Thick, creamy, pale lemonyellow head over fully hazy orange beer with fine pearling. Citrussy hops, featuring mandarine and orangepeel. Dry citrussy bitterness, but with a fine aromatic, near bodycare-like perfumey finish. Spritzy MF, quite slick, hop-oily. Rather middle-of-the-road IPA, but nothing wrong.
