Roast and dark chocolate. A little coffee. Black pour with quickly dissipating mocha soap bubbles. Musky. Bitter finish. Very nice porter--everything I look for in the style. Looks like they sorted out the issues since last rating. Bottle.

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 15/08/2021 [#4.185 Global - #246 Portugal - #4 Epicura] Hazy milky yellow colour with a medium white head. Mostly lacing. Aroma: lime, lemon peel, cardamom and wheat. Taste: citrusy and lemony leading to a wheaty finish. So lemomy. Next one please!

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal) [#4.140 Global - #211 Portugal - #3 Epicura] First beer festival since Feb 2020. Crazy. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: espresso, roasted malts and ashes. Taste: roasted malts, slightly watery. Its good to be back! Next one please!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 13C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L2005 (BBF 01/21). AROMA: medium roasted aroma with a slight mettalic and sulphury note. low nutiness and low dark chocolate. APPEARANCE: dark brown color and opaque. low light brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: initial slight nutiness and toffee followed by medium-high roasted flavor. unbalanced. medium to medium-high bitterness with a roasted finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a porter with formulation errors.

AROMA: medium to medium-low malty-sweet aroma with a toffee and slight under attenuated notes. low lacquer background and low cereal husk. APPEARANCE: light amber color and clear. medium off-white head with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium sweetness with a toffee and under attenuated character. low yeasty flavor. faint yeasty background.. medium bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium-low carbonation. slight alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: an underwhelming belgian ale.
