Super hazy, chunky and almost thick looking deep straw and almost copper coloured body with a strawish yellow glowing, almost muddied light brown/beige coloured body, about 95 per cent opaque, with an ugly, three centimetre tall off-white soapy head on top. Aroma of lemons, tangerines, full oranges, curacao, grass, hay, a bit of perfume and some pungent lactose on the end, with some definite malt and alcohol here, but not so noticeable in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich, dry, grassy and slightly medicinal hop notes show at first with a pretty big hop bitterness here and some orange peel and lemon zest and the associated depth that shows as well, without much sweetness, but the bitterness is pervasive, in a good, older school way. Aftertaste is dry, fairly balanced, considering all the ingredients and nuances here, but showing a lot of citrusey notes without the sweetness, nothing even remotely sweet here at the end, but fruits are here, and a ton of dryness and bitterness. Overall, a very nice old school Imperial IPA that shows Imperial Status from the dryness and bitterness, but no sugars, easy-drinking or clean flavours are here at all; This is NOT New England styled at all, it's unfiltered of course, but an older school, bitter IPA and it's great! Very nice to try after a 20 mile training run for the upcoming USMC Marathon, with my wife! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 03-September-2022 for US$4,99, canned on 28-January-2022 with the tagline 'Third Time Around the Sun' on the bottom of the can, sampled at my house here in Washington after the long run on 09-October-2022.
