Poured from 473mL can (pkg 02/06/2025). Clear-ish yellow gold with small white head. Citrus hops, feint allium, light tropical hops in the background. Decent.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish black, minimal head or lacing. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, fudge. Flaky is sweet, light bitter. Full body, a touch hot.

Can pour from Valley Beverage. It's opaque, virtually black with thin cap of light brown head quickly fading to a fine ring, nice viscosity. Aroma is strong roasted malt and coffee over vanilla and hazelnut (more balanced as it warms). Taste is strong bittersweet roasted malt and hazelnut coffee, vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with late pleasant alcohol warmth. Overall, good strength of aroma and taste and well balanced, especially as it warms. Very good for a non-barrel-aged beer.

Tap. Pours quite hazy yellow gold, medium off white head, good lacing. Aroma is melon, guava, tangerine, armpits. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter. No burn. Pretty juicy. Merlin body. Good example.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a cloudy pink orange with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is strawberry seed, dough, wheat. Thin body, similar flavors to nose, tart finish, very good.
