Can, from Climbing Wolf, Dobbs Ferry, NY (Aug 2025). Hazy dark yellow/golden with with a fomay light beige head, faint citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel taste with faint pineapple and piney flavor, thin body, long medium bitter finish. Decent beer, though not very much like a regular NEIPA flavorwise.

Can (no longer known as "Trout Town" but same logo otherwise) from Oliver's Beverage, Albany. Lightly hazy, brownish-red with nice sparkle, thin covering of head quickly fading to ring, trace lacing. Aroma is earthy roasted malt and toffee. Taste follows aroma, late hint of nuts. Silky smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering dry, roasted bitterness. More bitter, roasted than many browns.

I have a pint can obtained from a NY retailer, glad to have the access. My Teku in place, I make the pour. I see a thinnish appearing amber-brown liquid with a bare skim of silvery tan foam. The smell is grain initially followed by caramel, molasses and bit of cane sweetness. The taste is, as I encountered with the nose, rather light. Sorghum, a small honey sweetness, baked bread and earth. Perhaps I am too used to the experience with the imperial porters from Deschutes. This is a long ways from those.

Draught @ Dive 96 Bar, Manhattan (Oct 2024). Clear reddish brown with a small foamy dark beige head, sweetish caramel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste with faint coffee flavor, thin watery body, long caramel finish. Not too bad, not distinctive either.
