12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Listed as 5.2%. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy medium orange/amber/light copper color with a 2-3 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, apple, caramel, toasted bread, light pepper/pine, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of citrus/earthy hops, bready malt, and fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, apple, caramel, toasted bread, light pepper/pine, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, peach, pear, apple, caramel, toasted bread, pepper, pine, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance citrus/earthy hops, bready malt, and fruit yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness/carbonation as well. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderate crisp, and creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is a nice English Amber ale. All around good robustness and balance citrus/earthy hops, bready malt, and fruit yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink. I was originally expecting a standard American amber ale, but the addition of the English yeast was really well balanced with the flavor profile. A nicely enjoyable offering.
